Terms of Use

Last updated: May 20, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of this website and the application process for the W Japan Ambassador Program. By using this site or submitting an application, you agree to these terms.

1. About the program

The W Japan Ambassador Program is a curated creator partnership initiative operated by the W Hotels brand team at Marriott International. This site is provided for informational purposes and to receive applications. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer, contract, or guarantee of selection.

2. Eligibility

To apply you must be:

  • At least 16 years of age
  • The owner of, or authorized to apply on behalf of, the social media accounts and content you reference in your application
  • Legally able to enter into a creator partnership agreement in your country of residence

Applications from anywhere in the world are welcome, with a slight preference for creators based in Japan and the United States, where most Class 01 work will originate. Local laws and regulations applicable to creators, content, sponsorship disclosure, and compensation are your responsibility.

3. Your application

You agree that:

  • The information you submit is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
  • You will update us if your circumstances change materially between submission and a decision
  • Submitting an application creates no obligation on our part to shortlist or select you
  • We may verify the public details you provide, including by checking the social handles and links you share

4. If you are selected

Selection into a Class 01 ambassador cohort is communicated by email. Participation in the program is subject to a separate written Ambassador Agreement that will govern the specific terms of travel, stays, payment, deliverables, intellectual property, confidentiality, and termination. This website is not the contract.

The headline benefits referenced on the site (round-trip flights, a stay of three to ten nights in a signature suite, and $1,000 paid the week of arrival) are offered to selected ambassadors subject to the Ambassador Agreement, scheduling, and reasonable conditions such as valid travel documents and origin-city availability.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including the “W Hotels” mark, the W logomark, brand language, and design, is owned by or licensed to Marriott International and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use any materials from this site for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of the content you submit through the application form. By submitting, you grant us a limited, internal, royalty-free license to use that content solely for the purpose of reviewing your application and operating the program.

6. Acceptable use of the site

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or third-party information without authorization
  • Interfere with the operation of the site, including by attempting to bypass security or rate limits
  • Use automated tools to submit applications or scrape content from the site
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization

7. Disclaimers

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marriott International, its affiliates, and the W Hotels brand team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this site or your application. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Marriott International’s standard guest-facing terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms will be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction over Marriott International’s registered office, unless local mandatory law requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
